2 chairs bistro Baumann model 740 wood and skaï Scandinavian style

Pretty pair of chairs, with scandinavian-inspired lines with tapered compass legs, simple shapes all in roundness and softness. And the upholstery of the seat in skaï is the detail that changes everything, which brings a beautiful touch of originality, and comfort! This is the original skai, which is starting to be difficult to find, especially in good condition. Following my research and discussions with enthusiasts, I think that these chairs are chairs produced between 1958 and 1964 by the baumann manufacture, the 740 model, but unfortunately the label that was found below is no longer there to prove it (and the iron marking was not used systematically). They are also equipped with metal pads like the 740. They are in good general condition but do not hide their age and the patina of their multiple previous lives: the original varnish was flaking in places, so I scraped and sanded the very chipped parts, I glued the plywood of the seats which was "duplicated" in places, plugged some gaps with wood pulp (the color of the repairs is a little lighter than the rest), and revarnished all with a golden oak varnish approaching the original color (pulling almost towards orange). I also cleaned the skaï and its many reliefs. I am quite happy with my repairs even if it is not perfect: I am not a professional in the restoration of furniture; ) there are still various marks and stains on the wood, the skaï of one of the seats has tiny stains (paint splashes?) and the other has 3 small non-perforating snags (scratches). The two skai are not exactly the same color: brown pulls slightly towards red for one of the chairs. They are 80cm high, about 46 cm high, 43 cm wide at the top of the backrest, and each weighs about 4 kg. Can be matched with two other baumanns available in my shop.
