Set of four bentwood bistro chairs by the brand Fischel, made in Czechoslovakia around 1930–1950. The chairs are made of beech, using the characteristic bentwood technique of Fischel. Each chair features a round wooden seat and a high curved backrest with four slender turned rods. Curved supports connect the seat and backrest, while a circular stretcher reinforces the legs. The beech wood has developed a warm colour and natural patina over the years. There are tonal differences between the chairs, as well as scratches, marks, and signs of wear due to age and use. A classic set of chairs from Central Europe, originally designed for cafés and bistros, ideal around a kitchen or dining table. Good vintage condition with visible age-related wear, marks, scratches, and variations in colour and patina.
