Authentic workshop furniture / Vintage watchmaker's layette in black wood

Superb condition for this piece of furniture, which has retained all its structural integrity. The top surface in dark wood features a very beautiful, smooth, and authentic patina. The 23 drawers slide effortlessly, and their original wooden knobs are all well secured. The interiors of all 23 drawers remain in light natural wood, very healthy, clean, and free from workshop dust or unpleasant odours. The piece is ready to hold delicate items (jewellery, haberdashery, collections). The large drawer at the top is missing (creating a functional open niche), and the bottom of one of the intermediate drawers is marked by an old black ink stain, a perfect testament to its history.
