Some pieces are not signed, but all feature the emblematic decorations: birds, foliage, and stylised patterns typical of the artist. Work from the 60s-70s, in perfect condition. Composition: 1 wall plate decorated with birds – Ø 24.5 cm. 2 plates – Ø 20 cm. 1 oval dish – 29 × 12 cm. 2 chocolate cups – Ø 12 cm, H 7 cm. Albert Thiry (born in 1932) is an emblematic French ceramist of the second half of the 20th century. He worked mainly in Vallauris, alongside his wife Andrée Hirlet. His style is distinguished by a very personal decorative approach: stylised birds, naive scenes, graphic vegetation, often engraved or painted under glaze. He favours simple, utilitarian forms while integrating a recognisable poetic universe. His pieces, both decorative and functional, have become sought after for their timeless charm and artisanal quality. Further information and photos available upon request.
