Large Andalusian mirror in glazed ceramic (cuerda seca) 72x58

Magnificent large wall mirror crafted in traditional Andalusian style. This mirror stands out for its superb frieze made of richly decorated ceramics using the historical "dry cord" technique. The neo-Moorish and Baroque-inspired pattern features exotic birds at the heart of very dense floral arabesques. The whole is enhanced by a wide moulded frame in gilded wood. The ceramics show no chips or cracks, the colours are vibrant, and the gilding is brilliant. The glass is superb, clear, and completely free of oxidation stains or scratches. A slight bump is present on the left side of the moulded frame, which is not noticeable from a distance.
