The acrylic vase was designed by japanese designer tomoko mizu for the iconic italian design brand cappelini in 2001. A limited edition piece, made to order it is made of fluorescent green plexiglass and part of a collection of 3 similar vases. A striking graphic piece, as much a sculpture as a vase it has a transparent finish which is matched with colourful inserts which constantly change with the light and angle from which it is viewed. With room for just a few single stems this vase is more of a modern minimal ikebana vase than a traditional vessel and will look equally good with or without and flowers or foliage. Originality, contemporaneity, simplicity: these are the founding values that characterise cappellini’s dna... Founded in 1946 in italy, cappellini has become synonymous with contemporary, avant-garde design. Over the years it has launched some of the world’s greatest designers, producing innovative and high-quality furnishings.
