Rare set of 4 first edition 'Grand Prix' chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, 1959

Exceptional set of 4 'Grand Prix' chairs designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1957. That year, the chair was displayed at the Triennale in Milan where it received the Grand Prix, the highest distinction of the exhibition. These chairs are first editions made of beech wood with a rare and original brown fabric. The first edition models can be recognised by the four legs, which are mounted separately on the bottom of the shell and have the FH logo stamped. Additionally, these come with the original invoice from 1959 to confirm this and remain in very good original condition with solid back supports. A great find and true collector's items.
