Large Round Vase Vallauris Huguette BESSONE - Brutalist - 23 cm

Very beautiful round vase (fountain pot type) in Vallauris ceramic, signed Huguette BESSONNE (incised signature under the base). DESIGN & MATERIAL: Remarkable brutalist work with a high relief decoration representing a thistle sunflower and stylised foliage. Beautiful nuanced glaze in earthy tones, ochre, and brown. The neck features an original notch. CHARACTERISTICS: Height: 23 cm. Width: approx. 20 cm (voluminous piece). Condition: Good overall appearance. Note: a small chip on a petal of the central flower and another very discreet one on the base (see photos). The base shows an original drilling mark for a tap (not drilled).
