Set of six chairs Maison Regain 1970s/80s

Icons of brutalist design and mountain furniture, these chairs feature clean and robust lines, very close to the creations of Pierre Chapo or Charlotte Perriand. Characteristics: Materials: High-quality solid elm structure with warm, contrasting grain. Seats made of natural woven straw. Design & Assembly: Softened angles, geometric lines, and traditional assembly details with visible dowels. Marking: Presence of assembly numbers originally traced in pencil under the structures, testifying to the artisanal manufacturing of the workshop. La Maison Regain did not systematically sign its creations as the markings indicated their workshop origin. Condition & Restoration: Structure & Wood: In generally beautiful vintage condition, the structure is perfectly sound and stable. Note some slight signs of wear: two small holes from former wood-eating insects on two backs (visible in photos) and one leg slightly gnawed at the base. The entire set of these 3 chairs has been fully treated preventively and curatively. Reinforcement of seats: To address the wear of the original support dowels, the seats have been reinforced under the frame with discreet supports (brackets), ensuring excellent stability for daily use.
