Aubusson tapestry signed jean-michel lartigaud and entitled "le jour se lève". Printed in 300 copies (numbered 155/300). Tapestry on hand-screen-printed wool. Signed lower right, tapestry cardboard on the back. Manufacture robert four. 107 X 172 cm. In 1965, jm. Lartigaud visits aubusson. Passionate about wall art, he entered the following year at the national school of decorative arts and began a collaboration with different manufactures that weave his works. In his cardboard inspired by nature, he brings a touch of renewal to the tradition of the foliage of the aubusson tapestry. Through colors and patterns that break with the usual formal vocabulary, he attempts a synthesis between past and present unique to aubusson. At the same time, lartigaud pursued a personal work of painting and tapestry while continuing research on various media and materials. His works have been acquired by public and private collections in many countries.
