Date: late 19 - early 20th century. This large decorative mirror with curved sides was hand-carved and features baroque-inspired motifs. It is decorated with volute acanthus leaves and a louis XIV style cartouche on the top. The mirror is made of oak. The mirror was painted in a very matte linden green color (a light bluish-green) and the highlighted details highlighted with gold finishing wax. A golden shine was also applied to the wide groove that runs around the frame. There is a hook to hang it in the back. The glass has dull black markings giving it an aged appearance. It seems to have originally been a mirror that was part of a vanity table; it has two metal inserts on the sides that would have been used to hang it. Note: please keep in mind that colors and hues may vary somewhat; the representation depends on the lighting conditions, background, resolution settings of your screen, etc. State: Good. The glass of the mirror is tarnished as one would expect for an old mirror. The frame was painted. Size: View photo.
