Floral harbour landscape, oil on canvas from the studio of a contemporary painter. A luminous and vibrant composition depicting a bird's-eye view of a harbour or sheltered bay, likely in Brittany. In the foreground, a lush and flowering vegetation—bushes with touches of carmine red and pink, bright green and yellow foliage—generously frames the scene. The gaze then glides over a rocky and sandy shoreline before opening up to the blue and turquoise expanse of the bay, animated by moored boats and white sailboats. In the background, verdant peninsulas dotted with light-coloured houses stretch under a vast sky with cerulean blue and pearl grey tones. The texture is lively and spontaneous, constructed with visible short and overlapping brushstrokes, in a palette mixing cobalt blues, emerald and apple greens, madder reds, and splashes of lemon yellow. The treatment, straddling post-impressionism and contemporary plein air painting, favours atmospheric freshness and chromatic jubilation.
