A stunning vintage mirror featuring a copper and brass sculpture of a sailboat, reeds in the foreground, and a setting sun in the background. Signed by the Belgian artist Daniel D’haeseleer, this is a Hollywood Regency art piece from the 1970s. An elegant, high-quality art object crafted from copper—a Hollywood Regency style piece perfect for wall decoration. Such items blend beautifully into both vintage and modern interiors. D’haeseleer (born in Aalst in 1947) studied at the art academy and began his career as a graphic artist before evolving into bas-relief sculpture and three-dimensional art. He has mastered various techniques but specializes in working with metals such as copper, brass, and bronze. His work has been exhibited in museums both in Belgium and abroad. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, showing only minor signs of age and use consistent with its vintage—such as decorative discoloration and oxidation of the copper, and a tiny scratch on the mirror glass. Please see the photos for details. Dimensions: 63 X 45 X 8 cm; mirror 60 X 40 cm. Weight: 3.101 kg.
