Pair of antique solid wood doors – Louis XV / Regency period

Superb pair of antique solid wood doors, richly moulded, from the Louis XV / Regency period, featuring elegant work of shaped panels on the front. Each leaf consists of: An upper panel with flowing moulding, A central panel adorned with a curved crosspiece in the shape of an accolade, Deep-profiled moulded frames, Original decorative metal handles and lock entries. The wood (solid oak) has a beautiful warm hue, with a homogeneous old patina that highlights the natural grain. The mouldings are finely crafted, with a decor typical of 18th-century interiors inspired by Louis XV.
