Reproduction painting by pissarro. It is called ' the entrance to the village '. This painting is not a painting. It was supervised by the publisher of art braun in paris. The frame was gilded with gold leaf. The entrance to the village is an 1872 painting by camille pissarro. Donated by ernest may in 1923, it is currently in the musée d'orsay. Painted in louveciennes, it is reproduced at the place of its creation on a route of the land of the impressionists. The painting, of a spring freshness, represents undulating trees framing a path leading to the château de voisins. It is one of pissarro's finest paintings in the region and one of the last he painted before settling in pontoise.
