Arc Vintage Desk Lamp Vrieland Design Brass – Bauhaus Style

Superb modernist table lamp, iconic model "Arc", published by the Dutch brand Vrieland Design in the 1970s/1980s. Inspired by the clean and functional lines of the Bauhaus movement, this light fixture stands out with a minimalist design of great elegance. Its structure consists of a fine curved brass rod in a semi-circle, connecting a weighted semi-spherical base to an adjustable dome reflector. A remarkable aesthetic detail: the underside of the lampshade is equipped with a fine protective mesh grid of original metal, adding a subtle industrial touch. An authentic vintage piece (Made in Holland), it retains its original technical certification label under the base (220 V / 50-60 Hz, safety transformer, 20 W). The electricity is original with its black cord and perfectly functional toggle switch. It emits a soft and focused light, ideal on a desk, sideboard, or as a bedside lamp. Dimensions: Height 48 cm|Width 50 cm|Depth 15 cm. Condition: The lamp is in good overall working condition and the structure retains a beautiful shiny finish. As a second-hand item that has traversed decades, the gilding shows an authentic patina of use. There are numerous small spots of oxidation and slight localized surface stains on the upper dome of the lampshade as well as on the base (visible in the detail photos).
