Elegant and original display secretary inspired by Art Deco, likely made in the mid-20th century, around the 1940s-1950s. This particularly complete piece of furniture elegantly combines a display cabinet, secretary, and large storage spaces. Its architecturally structured silhouette and geometric lines give it a very decorative presence while maintaining great functionality, making it a compact secretary that can fit into small spaces. Indeed, the central drawer opens to form a work table (perfect for placing a computer). The upper and lower storage spaces will allow for filing documents. At the end of a session, everything can be quickly stored away and concealed, leaving nothing visible. The upper part consists of two glass doors, adorned with a geometric design forming large diamond patterns. They open to reveal a storage space with shelves. There is a visible discolouration on one of the interior shelves, which is only noticeable when the furniture is open. In the centre, a drop-down flap opens to create a genuine secretary space, with a writing surface and several small storage compartments. An open niche, highlighted by an elegant metal bar, completes this ensemble. The lower part consists of a large storage area closed by two doors, offering ample storage capacity. Particular attention is drawn to the decorative metal details that accentuate the various panels and enhance its aesthetic typical of furniture from the first half of the 20th century. A piece of furniture that is both elegant, original, and highly functional, which can find its place in a living room, office, library, or even a bedroom. Characteristics: Style: Art Deco / vintage.
