Like his parents, georges braem embraced the career of painter very early. A discreet and solitary bordeaux artist, braem experienced the lot of lean and difficult years before being recognized as one of the heirs of the masters he admired, from magritte to hieronymus bosch. A real consecration for this artist best known to connoisseurs of painting of the second half of the twentieth century. Imbued with surrealism and gentleness, braem's work opens poetic doors for anyone who wants to walk there. On this canvas is a funny egg hunt! Full of symbolism and mystery, the work depicts a singular garden where the colorful fruits of a bushy tree overlook heads emerging from the tall grass as well as eggs from which one leaves but where one returns very quickly. And these two women, like two fairytale princesses (who may live in the surrounding houses) let a veil of mystery hang over their presence in this curious garden of eden...
