Still life with mandarins and blue pottery, oil on canvas

Still life in oil on canvas, second half of the 20th century. A glass footed bowl filled with mandarins, a coffee pot, and porcelain cups with blue decoration, placed on a brown table. Warm palette of oranges and ochres, contrasted by the blues of the crockery. Visible brushwork, background worked in nuanced flat areas. Signature at the bottom right. Stained wooden frame, patinated gold fillet, and cream mount. Dimensions (including frame): Height 54 cm. Width 62 cm. This subject of crockery and citrus adds colour to a kitchen, dining room, or dining nook, and complements both blue and white earthenware and light wood.
