Very beautiful and large turquoise pitcher by the belgian ceramic artist alexandre gempfenstein (known as "de wemmel"). Beautiful color full of shades, with bright glaze. Marks and numbering under the database. "alexander" was born in odessa, ukraine, in 1909, he emigrated to belgium in 1918. He took the nickname "de wemmel" because his workshop was located in wemmel.
