set of 10 antique earthenware plates with blue decoration from Bordeaux

An antique set of 10 earthenware plates, remarkable for the diversity and finesse of its blue monochrome decorations. Each plate features a different composition: still lifes with fruits, fish, shellfish, game, ducks, flowers, and birds, with delicate borders and branches. The set has a lot of charm and evokes the beautiful bourgeois tables of the late 19th / early 20th century. An interesting detail: the backs bear an old stamp from the General Depot Vve R. Lafitte, Bordeaux, a historic establishment located on rue des Augustins and rue Sainte-Catherine. Composition of the lot: 10 plates in good condition. 6 plates of 23 cm. 1 plate of 21.5 cm. 3 additional plates with defects, included with the lot.
