Hollywood Regency table lamp with lucite base

Unusual vintage amber Plexiglass table lamp, most likely dating from the 1960s–1970s, combining a highly decorative transparent acrylic base with an elaborate original-style fabric lampshade. What makes it unique is the combination of the base and the shade, that belong to completely opposite styles. The luxury textile detailing of the shade places it particularly well within the Hollywood Regency aesthetic, while the geometric Plexiglass base retains a strong Mid-Century influence. Equipped with one E14 light bulb socket, and a 2-pin european wall plug. Height 55cm. Width 24cm. Excellent condition.
