Sicilian ceramic head, Stefania Boemi

Stunning terracotta vase by Sicilian artist Stefania Boemi, dating from the 2010s. The sculptor drew inspiration from ancient Sicilian legends of love and revenge between a Moor and a young woman. This unique piece is entirely handmade in the purest Sicilian tradition. This very large vase depicts a Moor's head surrounded by prickly pears. Beautiful matte gray monochrome (RAL 6022 olive brown) with natural pigments. A second vase is also available to create a pair. This piece is very fragile; therefore, local pickup is recommended.
