Vintage yamagata-style kokeshi, made by abe masayoshi (1939- ). Abe masayoshi was the third son of abiko tsunesaburo (farmer). He became kobayashi seijiro's disciple in 1955 (after graduating), as a carpenter. He started making yamagata-style kokeshi around 1968. Then he was adopted by the abe family in 1977, he then set up on his own. Belonged to a collector located in sendai.
