Danish Superstar armchair by Genega Møbler, high model, 1970s

Danish armchair (high model) called superstar manufactured in the 1970s by genega møbler. The frame of this chair with a hammock-like structure is made of wood that is formed with steam into the desired shape. A sturdy cotton cover is attached to this and is carried by leather straps. The cushion is made of leather. The seat is in very nice vintage condition. The frame was completely refurbished and reinforced where necessary. The leather cushion is in beautiful condition and without tears. This danish armchair is an imitation of the iconic falcon armchair. This was designed in 1970 by the norwegian sigurd ressell for the vatne møbler label. The norwegians filed a lawsuit which they won, forcing the danes to stop production. As a result, production of the superstar seat has remained limited.
