Oil on canvas signed by Alain Chaussois (1950-2018), a painter from Calais known particularly for his maritime subjects. The work depicts the famous ocean liner SS Arcadia amidst ice and mountains, likely inspired by his cruises in Alaska. A beautiful marine painting from the 20th century, very decorative, with remarkable detail work on the liner. Signed Chaussois in the bottom right. Provenance: Calais. Overall good condition, with some signs of age visible in the photos. Dimensions: W 62 cm / H 46 cm.
