Jewelry box set with an AP Bouix medal

This small box in hammered metal (iron it seems to me), with finely cut reinforcements, by hand it seems to me given the irregularities, rather old, aroused my curiosity, with its silver medal set on the lid. It looks like a small treasure chest. I conducted an investigation based on the data I had, namely the mentions on the medal: the inscription "roma" easily readable, the mention "bouix" readable with a magnifying glass and two tiny ap letters, difficult to see even with a magnifying glass, which must be the "different", that is to say the signature of the engraver. I obtained some interesting, albeit broad, information from numismatists: the box set and the piece date from between 1880 and 1935. I contacted a bouix jewelry store that has existed since 1924, but which has not kept such a distant archive and knows nothing about this medal... So the investigation ends there for me, but maybe you will want to continue it; ) It is very strong, has no gaps or cracks, but has undeniable traces of time: superficial corrosion of the metal in places and the fabric trim inside is stained and peels off on the lid (not original I think because the fabric glued on cardboard, is itself fixed with double-sided tape on the lid). It measures 16.5 cm in length by 12.5 cm in width, 7 cm in height and weighs just under 900 g.
