Charming pair of large polychrome vases in glazed earthenware from the Orchies factory, dating from the early 20th century. This pair is appealing due to its simple and elegant lines, typical of the transition between late Art Nouveau and the beginnings of Art Deco. They feature a magnificent flambé red glaze with deep shades (in brown, raspberry/burgundy/blood red tones), enhanced by a celadon turquoise interior with nuanced effects. The natural variations in the glaze make each vase unique. The underside bears the impressed mark of the Orchies factory France, accompanied by model number 507, confirming their origin and authenticity. With their generous dimensions, these vases will fit perfectly on a mantelpiece, a console, or in a decor that combines antique furniture with contemporary design. In very good condition considering their age, it should be noted, however, that there is a glaze defect on the base of the vases (see photo). Height 31.5 cm. Width 11.5 cm. Depth 8.5 cm. Weight 2.200 kg.
