Louis Philippe mirror

The timeless par excellence. The louis philippe mirror, this monarch nicknamed "the bourgeois king" whose reign was very short (1830-1848). It is right at the time of the haussmann style, of sand, chopin, balzac and hugo. It is not for nothing that we regularly see it enthroned on parisian fireplaces. The louis philippe style is characterized by sober lines, little ornamented, explained by the beginning of industrialization and mass production of furniture. It remains nonetheless refined in the image of its king. The wood is then no longer sculpted, but molded with a glue primer. The top of the frame is rounded, pearls or acanthus leaves are arranged in the lower part with a gilded effect with gold leaf which illuminates the whole.
