Round hotel or shop banquette in beige leather with tufting. 1970s/80s. Set in excellent condition. Leather in clean, good condition. No tears. Note tiny non-perforating scuffs that are barely visible (see photos). Attributed to Jacques Garcia, 20th century. This piece has been attributed based on archival documents, such as vintage catalogues, designer documents, or other documentary sources. This type of rare furniture occupied hotel lobbies, waiting rooms, and high-fashion shops. Jacques Garcia, born on 25 September 1947 in Paris, is a French interior architect and decorator. In Paris, he has notably been responsible for the decoration of the Grand Café, La Belle Armée, Ladurée, L'Avenue, L'Esplanade, Le Ruc, Le Paris, Le Royal Monceau, Hôtel La Réserve, and Maison Souquet. He has also worked on La Mamounia in Marrakech (Morocco), NoMad in New York, and Hotel Danieli in Venice.
