Pair of old antique French double lyre shape green wrought iron wall sconces

A pair of early 20th century french hand forged wrought iron wall lights of classic design. The sconces are in the shape of a lyre instrument. Retaining the original green painted finish and the gilt finish. The back plates are in scrolled iron and form a lyre instrument with gold bars and a floral motif to the top. The arms are a scroll design with a leaf embellishment on the underside with are painted gold. The candle drip holders are round with curved edges and the candle drips are the old card type in keeping with the lights. The lights are working and wired with original french braided twin core wiring and take 2 small screw type bulbs e14 each. The have their original wooded bulb holders and candle drips which are in card and very worn in places. The framework is in good solid condition on both lights.we recommend that all electrical items are checked by a qualified electrician in your own country to comply with local safety regulations.
