A very rare ‘Teknika’ lamp, Denmark, 1960s, model 425. About Teknika: Teknika A/S, or Teknika Mekaniske Establissement, was a Danish lighting and machinery manufacturer active from 1943 to 1971. In 1971, a series of poor business decisions, combined with the oil crisis, led to Teknika’s demise. Teknika is not widely known, but lighting enthusiasts are aware that they produced high-quality lighting, and their lamps are highly sought-after today, even here in Denmark. This lamp was originally aluminium-coloured/silver, but when we found it, it was in very poor condition. We have refurbished it, given it a new colour scheme and reassembled it. The result, in all modesty, has turned out superbly. It is 24 cm high, 44 cm in diameter and features multiple layers of shades.
