Napoleon III table

Beautiful old oak table, "Napoleon III" style, oval top that can accommodate 4 guests, beautiful central leg. Extendable but sold without extensions. The table was previously completely sandblasted and treated for safety. The top was prepared with a hard base before being whitewashed and protected "food contact standards". The central leg as well as the 4 legs folded under the top were painted "linen" color then patinated "brown" and finally protected. Despite the care taken, some traces of time are visible on the top (see photos). A safety is missing to keep the legs unfolded but does not interfere in any way since it is sold without extensions.
