Superb large vase, handmade, with specific decorations of this Artist, hyper decorative Vallauris style. Jean de Lespinasse (1896–1979) is a French ceramist who settled in Nice after the Second World War. His workshop, founded with his wife, produces pieces signed J d L, recognizable by their sculptural forms and engraved or colored decorations. Through his unique work, Jean de Lespinasse is today highly appreciated by collectors and is part of this movement of post-war French ceramists in the same way as Roger Capron or Robert Paul who built their reputation in the workshops of Vallauris or Saint-Paul de Vence.
