Authentic oil portrait on canvas of a 19th-century bourgeois man. It is signed in the bottom left J.Vick and dated 1885. The canvas and frame are original. It is a very beautiful chiaroscuro portrait: the eyes are particularly captivating, and the light focused on the face brings extraordinary depth to the painting. A handwritten note is on the back: J.Delsaux Dufettelli, made at the age of 54. The portrait is in its original condition, with signs of wear and age on the canvas; the varnish of the painting is cracked across the entire canvas.
