Large vintage fish platter in Vallauris earthenware, 1960s/70s, orange.

Superb large fish-shaped dish, in typical Mediterranean ceramic colours of orange/ochre and olive green from this period. The decoration is in relief, with a very beautiful shiny glaze. It originally belonged to a Vallauris fish service of which I also have the plates and the sauce boat. The "Vallauris" stamps are present under the plates of the service; the large dish itself is not marked. It seems to have been very little used, if at all. Very good overall condition, with just a small discreet chip under the rim at the mouth, visible in the photos. Very beautiful both as a serving dish and as a decorative centrepiece. Quick shipping and particularly careful packaging given the size and fragility of the piece.
