Moroccan berber carpet azilal 150x108cm

Our carpets come directly from the designer at your home. Hand-knotted by the berber woman of the high atlas mountains, the carpets are made from raw virgin wool by alternating composted patterns of a single knot and one or two woven lines. The writing found on the carpet tells a story, although it is no longer directly related to the woman who created it, they still share traditional writings and stories about rural life, femininity, spirituality, motherhood, marriage and careers.
