Cache-pot / planter in porcelain, hand-painted naturalistic decoration — exotic birds (kingfisher, toucan), dragonflies, flowers and tropical foliage, on a white background with a chipped green border and black trim. Dating from the 19th century. Chinoiserie-style porcelain, hand-painted naturalistic decoration (exotic birds, dragonflies, tropical flowers), green border and black trim. The red stamp underneath indicates the workshop/manufacture, late 19th century. Probably the Samson Manufacture of Paris. Edmé Samson (1810–1891), a ceramic decorative painter established in 1845 in Paris, purchased his blanks, the undecorated porcelain, from various Parisian manufactories, then decorated them in his workshop. The “A” with lines is a monogram of a decorator working for Samson. ⚠️ To be collected on-site in the Paris region only ⚠️.
