The headboard features a simply moulded triangular pediment, adorned with a delicate central motif in bronze. The mahogany reveals a superb butterfly wing grain, offering a highly decorative visual effect. The foot of the bed is decorated with a central frieze in gilded bronze with a floral motif, framed by posts embellished with capitals and bases also in chiselled bronze.
