Set of 6 chairs by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn, 1960

Special set of six CH40 dining chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen, Denmark 1960. The design is clear and powerful, with perfectly balanced proportions. At first glance, a fairly minimalist chair, but due to the combination of materials used; solid oak and papercord, the chair has a warm natural appearance. The CH40 was not in production for long and is therefore not often offered. The chairs are in excellent condition. The woodwork has been restored and the seats have new papercord.
