Qingdao - Antique Chinese buffet in solid elm no. 27

This antique Chinese sideboard is a unique piece, made from a period structure of solid elm. Originally, these large chests were used for storing rice and opened from the top via one or more hatches, which are now sealed. It consists of three drawers as well as three doors cut into the original façade. These openings provide access to practical storage spaces, suitable for everyday use. This transformation allows the piece to harmoniously integrate into a wabi-sabi, rustic, or minimalist interior, while maintaining its authenticity and offering ample storage volume.
