Born in the heart of the 1930s, this Art Deco wardrobe has withstood the test of time with the quiet chic of its flamed walnut. Its honey-hued wood forms warm waves that the light caresses throughout the day. At the centre, a large bevelled mirror elongates the silhouette and opens the room like a window onto the garden. The style is typically Art Deco: clean lines, controlled curves on the sides, discreet fluting, finely chiselled original fittings, and a sturdy, stable base. The construction is traditional: solid wood structure, carefully matched flamed walnut veneer, compartmentalised interior (wardrobe and shelves) for modern functionality without compromising elegance. As soon as you slightly open its curved doors, a luminous surprise awaits: a welcoming “sunbeam” marquetry in contrasting veneers. The hand finishes give it that sought-after satin touch. Attributed to the craftsmanship of a French workshop from the 30s (Lyon/Paris school), this piece reflects the spirit of the great creators of the period — Ruhlmann and their contemporaries established this formal language: harmonious proportions, noble materials, luxurious sobriety. Here, everything is about balance: a decor that never shouts, but instantly establishes refinement. Very good vintage condition: even patina, clean interior, functional shelves and rails, sound joinery. Some discreet signs of use consistent with its age. Double wardrobe: 121 cm (a metal bar will be added to the wardrobe before delivery).
