Large vintage jasba vase with white to beige crackle effect and a green checkered band in the middle, west germany ceramics from the 60s-70s, this vase still has its makers jasba sticker and is numbered 106-35 at the bottom. West germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came on the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some well-known names are roth, carstens, ruscha, jopeko, jasba, fohr, but the largest were perhaps scheurich and bay. The name jasba is composed of the first letters of the first and last name of the founder: jakob schwaderlapp, as well as those of the city where the factory was founded: baumbach.
