Art Deco Buffet

Large two-tone art deco style sideboard from the 1940s/50s. Two large curved doors at the ends and a double door in the center opening onto a large niche with a central shelf. Walnut veneer for the doors and sides, stained oak veneer on the top shelf. Sycamore wood frame and base, as well as the edge of the top and doors also in sycamore veneer. Steel hinges and interior locks, brass lock escutcheons, handles and keys. Oak structure, edges of the interior shelves with three-tone marquetry fillets. The whole has been completely dismantled for a complete restoration. The original veneer of the very damaged top shelf has been removed and replaced with a new oak veneer, stained and protected with a satin varnish. The door fronts, sides and base have been sanded and oiled, the metal and brass parts have been polished. The furniture is very easy to disassemble and reassemble using a system of internal nuts if necessary for passage through a door, installation on an upper floor or transport.
