Vintage Red Metal Ashtray Space Age - Caimi Brevetti Italy 1970

Authentic vintage table ashtray from the 1970s, designed in Italy by the renowned design brand Caimi Brevetti. This iconic model from the Space Age is entirely made of metal (shiny chrome-plated steel and bright red lacquered sheet steel). It features its original marking "Caimi Brevetti - Made in Italy" clearly visible under the base. Equipped with a clever oscillating flap mechanism (pivoting rocker) with a counterweight to trap ashes and mask odours. Condition: Excellent overall preservation. The oscillation operates smoothly. The red lacquer and chrome finish retain a beautiful shiny lustre, with slight micro-scratches from normal use due to its age. It is worth noting discreet paint chips on the inner edge of the bowl rim (completely invisible once the chrome lid is placed). Ideal for retro, industrial, loft decoration or for collectors of 1970s Italian design. Compact dimensions perfect for a coffee table or desk. 12cm X 5cm. Carefully packaged and very well protected for shipping.
