A potter's vase like one rarely encounters — the kind you place on a shelf and can't stop looking at. With an elongated shape, this stoneware vase features an absolutely fascinating crawled glaze: the off-white enamel has shrunk during firing into a network of small irregular cells on a brown-amber background, creating the sought-after "lizard skin" effect favored by studio ceramic enthusiasts. Turn it over and a completely different landscape unfolds — an intense orange-rust dominant, streaked with projections of vitrified ash, lively traces of a long firing in a wood kiln. The vase is old and dates from the 1970s. The base is engraved with an incised signature, the work of an identified studio potter, in the brutalist and free spirit of the 60s-70s. The vase is in very good condition. 13cm in diameter and 29cm in height. Visible in Colmar, delivery possible upon request.
