Vase Méténier

Small vase with two handles in flamed sandstone. There are also crystallizations on the bottom of the vase, typical of gilbert méténier's work. Very beautiful piece, signed and in perfect condition. Very pretty blue and 'camel' colors. A bit of history... Gilbert méténier, son of ceramicist louis méténier, continued the family business until 1940. He would have destroyed the mussels and stopped producing as a result of the war. His pieces are therefore unique examples. English - small vase by gilbert méténier, son of well-known ceramic artist louis méténier. Gilbert méténier took over the family workshop until about 1940. He apparently destroyed all of molds and ceased producing ceramics after the war. His pieces are thus unique. Beautiful blue and brown/beige colors. In perfect condition, signed at the bottom. Size: 13cm width. 11cm height. 5cm opening.
