Antique vase & dish in red Delft pottery – Regina

Charming vintage Dutch earthenware duo: a long-necked soliflore vase with a spherical body, and a small dish with a gilded rim, both stamped on the reverse "Regina — Delfts Rood — Made in Holland" with a crown. This may be from the Regina factory, founded in 1898 in Gouda. The decor known as "Delfts Rood" — Delft red — features floral scrolls, stylised foliage, and gilded highlights on an ivory cream background; the dish showcases a central medallion of a windmill in a Dutch landscape, an emblematic motif of the Delft tradition. The "Regina" mark associated with "Delfts Rood" and "Made in Holland" attests to serious Dutch production from the second half of the 20th century, in line with the earthenware factories of the Delft tradition that perpetuated this characteristic red decor, which is rarer and more delicate to achieve than the famous Delft blue.
