Large ceramic lamp

Superb mid-century Italian table lamp, attributed to Tommaso Barbi, produced in the 1970s. The body in white glazed ceramic is distinguished by its stylised faux bamboo decoration, characteristic of Barbi's formal vocabulary. The slightly irregular lines and vertical grooves add relief and sophistication to the whole, creating a subtle play of shadow and light.
