Typical of the 60s a colorful wall lamp of the brand raak with its colored shell and integrated switch. Founded in 1954 this dutch brand is one of the most esteemed of the 20th century in this country. Raak's slogan is "illuminated architecture" (lichtarchitectuur in dutch) because they create luminaires that fit into any interior. In 1999, the company joined the centre for light architecture in drachten. Raak is one of the iconic post-war lighting manufacturing companies, but also a key contributor to the "space age" style of the 1960s and 1970s. Raak lamps are highly sought after among collectors and vintage lovers around the world.
